Speaking of how things have grown ...

... in 2006 we were celebrating our 2nd year in the garden by adding these 4 hostas from Home Depot at the base of the Blue Spruce, in the front yard by the street.
This is what they look like now.
The poor chartreuse one is being squeezed out! Not to mention that the rest of the yard has exploded too. It's a serious jungle.

I have the same problem with underestimating the mature size of Hostas. It looks really lush now, in any event, but I like the jungle look.
BTW, you should include this in Gardening Gone Wild's Design Workshop, which is gardens through time this month.

Great looking hosta. I've turned ito a host junkie with about 400 of them. have you tried ligularia? It has a wonderful flower and grows well where hosta does well.
