My name is Rosemarie and I've been gardening since 2005 when we bought our house. We bought the house in February, buried under 4' of snow. In the springtime, when the snow melted and all I could see were plants and trees, I started to get nervous.
What do I do with all of this stuff? Bulldoze it over? Memories of me rejecting my mother's pleas to help in the garden flooded over me. Payback is a bitch. Or is it?
So I do what any normal person would do: take some classes at the arboretum on plants and start a blog. I started this blog in 2006 as a way of keeping track of thoughts, ideas, mishaps, and confusion that surrounds me & my gardens.
All was going just fine until ...
In 2010, I had a baby boy and my free time to garden went out the window. I stopped blogging in September 2011 -- little did I know I was pregnant with my 2nd child at the same exact moment I wrote my last word. Our daughter was born in the summer of 2012.
In the Fall of 2012, I decided that gardening was my passion and as a new stay-at-home mom I wanted to devote any future career to something I truly loved and felt passionate about. I teamed up with a local landscape designer to start a non-for-profit project building veggie gardens for needy families in our area, as well as joining the Garden Ministry at our church.
My goal is to go back to school for horticulture and perhaps become a Master Gardener. If nothing else, at least a "Master Plant Lover" who people will flock to for words, wisdom, and a good cup of coffee while talking about plants.
I re-commenced this gardening blog in March 2013!
